Our team creates the highest quality wines that represent the best of Texas terroir in a range of styles to satisfy many palates, from novices to sommeliers.
Majek Wines are made from 100% Texas grapes, grown in our Estate Vineyard, grown by other nearby grape farmers, or procured from the Texas Hill Country and High Plains. Our Estate Vineyard consists of Black Spanish vines. Majek is considered a leader in the development of fine wine from Black Spanish.
Our winemaker is Tim Drake, formerly of Columbia Crest and Chateau St. Michelle in Washington State. Tim has managed vineyards and wineries in TX for the last 12 years. When he began a wine consultancy 4 years ago, we jumped at the chance to work with someone of his caliber. Tim creates and manages our wine program.

Bronze Medal Winner - 2023 Lone Star International Wine Competition, Texas Class
One of our flagship wines. Our Blanc Du Bois block of vines was planted in 2013. We have supplemented our Blanc grapes with fruit from the Smith Family Vineyard in Witting, located about 10 miles from our vineyard. After the Big Freeze in 2020, our block of Blanc Du Bois did not recover. The vines have been removed and we are in the process of replanting the block with Black Spanish.
This dry Blanc Du Bois was grown at Smith Family Vineyard in 2021. The grapes were pressed at Majek and aged in Stainless Steel tanks for 1 year. This aging yielded a beautiful, bright, light and citrusy wine, in a style similar to Sauvignon Blanc.

Cardinal's Crown is one of our original wines, named for our mascot, the Cardinal bird. Every year, it is crafted as a table wine, which we mean as a classic dry red wine that goes with everything! This year's vintage is a smart "Texas" bordeaux blend of 34% Cabernet Franc, 25% Malbec, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 8% Petite Verdot. 100% Texas, expertly crafted by our winemaker, Tim Drake.

With our winemaker, Tim Drake, we have experimented to find the perfect wine style for Black Spanish wine grape. Black Spanish has a very storied history in Texas, having been grown in the State for over 300 years, grown by the Maverick family in San Antonio, etc. Cardinal's Kiss is a Rose' style wine, grown by the team in our Vineyard, pressed, fermented, and bottled on the property.
Kiss, is a perfectly light, slightly tart wine with notes of cherry. and raspberry To be enjoyed with salads, fish, and around the pool all year round!

Our delicious Tempranillo was grown and harvested in the High Plains of Texas. After press and fermentation, it was transported to Majek, where it rested in oak barrel for 1.5 years. We are proud to offer you this excellent example of dry Tempranillo wine.
Our 2019 Mourvedre is a light-bodied wine with the flavor characteristics that Mourvedre lovers enjoy. Smoky notes, with hints of tobacco, leather, and cocoa make this my "day" red favorite! Perfect with chicken and turkey for your holiday meals!
Absolutely delicious full-bodied wine with soft notes of dried plum and strawberry, spices, with a surprising coconut end note.

Tannat is a grape originally grown in France, most widely grown in Uruguay. It is very well suited for the Texas climate and terroir.
Our Tannat was harvested in 2019 at Paka Vineyard in Brownfield, Terry County, Texas. One year in Oak, bottled at Majek on February 4, 2021. Held in bottle until Oct 11, 2021.
There are four wines named after our mascot, the red bird - the Cardinal: Cardinal's Crown, Cardinal's Kiss, Cardinal's Choice, and Cardinal's Friend. Cardinal's Choice is one of our original sweet wines. Every year, the blend is anchored by Muscat Canelli (everyone's favorite sweet wine, Moscato) and a red variety. This year's vintage is crafted from Muscat Canelli, Primitivo, and Orange Muscat.
